What are the benefits?

Research consistently highlights the potential for using oral language interventions to boost pupils' achievement - and oral language skills are widely recognised as a crucial foundation for educational success, as well as supporting personal development and long term life chances.

Many schools and MATs are already working hard to develop their oral language curriculum. These half-termly network meetings will provide an important opportunity to:

• share ideas and celebrate success
• learn from one another - and from guest speakers
• develop and share resources
• develop inter-school speaking opportunities

Participants will have the opportunity to shape the agenda as the network develops.
