Updating Safeguarding Knowledge (PVI)

Course overview

This CPD module is designed to update and enhance safeguarding knowledge for professionals working in Private, Voluntary, and Independent (PVI) early years settings.

It aims to ensure that all staff are equipped with the latest information, skills, and best practices to protect children and promote their welfare effectively.

Objectives

The main objectives are to: 

• understand the latest safeguarding legislation and guidance
• recognise and respond to signs of abuse and neglect
• implement effective safeguarding policies and procedures
• promote a safe and secure environment for children
• engage in multi-agency working and understand the roles of different agencies in safeguarding
