Course benefits
This two-part course is designed to support Year 2 teachers through the non-statutory assessment process. The first part focuses on using end-of-key-stage teacher assessment guidance and non-statutory assessments to inform teaching. The second part, held in the summer term, involves working alongside external moderators to moderate reading, writing, and maths at the end of KS1.
Objectives
- understand the non-statutory process and teacher assessment guidance
- implement effective practices to ensure all pupils achieve at the end of KS1
- collaborate with partner schools and external moderators to ensure robust end-of-KS1 assessments
Further information
Teachers should bring three books at EXS, GDS, and WTS levels to both meetings for discussion and sharing with peers.
