Teacher Assessment of Writing at the End of KS2
Who is it for?
This session is designed for all Year 6 teachers responsible for making a teacher assessment of writing at the end of Key Stage 2.
What are the benefits?
Whether you are new to Year 6 or have years of experience, this session offers up-to-date information and guidance to support your understanding of the national standards in writing and the arrangements for statutory assessment and moderation in 2025.
The session will provide an opportunity for teachers to reflect on their writing curriculum against the evidence needed to secure an accurate teacher assessment.
Objectives:
Understand National Standards:
Gain insights into the national standards in writing and receive the latest guidance from the Standards and Testing Agency (STA) and experienced moderators.
Evidence Requirements:
Learn about the range of evidence required to support teacher assessment judgements in writing.
Awareness of Procedures:
Increase your awareness of the statutory assessment and moderation procedures for writing in 2025.
