Apply for building control regularisation

Use this service to:
1. ● submit a regularisation application in accordance with the Building Regulations (opens in new tab)
  
  ● obtain retrospective approval from building control for completed work
  
  Application takes around 15 minutes to complete.
What you'll need
1. ● to be the owner or the agent of the property where the work was carried out
  
  ● details of the work carried out including the full market cost of such work

Before you start
1. You should read the Regularisation and Reversion application guidance notes (opens in new tab)
  
  A regularisation application may be accepted in order to regularise unauthorised work carried out, the work must have been carried out after 11 November 1985.
  
  Please note that the council is under no obligation to accept the application.
  
  This notice must be in relation to the building work as described in accordance with Building Regulation 21 (opens in new tab)
  
  On submission of this application the regularisation fee to be paid will be calculated by our Building Control team with a surcharge, in accordance with Stockton Borough Council's current charges.
