What are the benefits?

The main objectives are to:

  • gain an in-depth understanding of the revised early learning goals and the exemplification materials to support practitioners in making their judgements for children at the end of the foundation stage
  • establish a solid working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage Profile (EYFSP) documentation and legal requirements
  • become familiar with guidance materials to support making accurate judgements within the EYFSP
  • understand how the observation, assessment, and planning cycle in Early Years supports the EYFSP
  • learn the expectations of the expected standard and how to complete the EYFSP accurately
