The fee for a skip licence is £20 and is valid for a maximum of 14 days.

A skip licence is not granted until you receive confirmation from the Highways Team.

This application is only to be used by skip hire companies requesting a licence within the Stockton-on-Tees Borough. If residents require a skip, they must contact the skip hire company directly.

We require 1 working days' notice prior to placing a skip on a public highway.

Skip licences are valid for a maximum of 14 days, if you require a licence for a longer period you will need to apply for a new licence.

Skip companies requesting to place a skip on the public highway should have valid insurance and a controlled waste transfer note.
